These hick-ups happen maybe 2-3 times in a row and then nothing again for several minutes/hours. However, I noticed that in games - at random intervals - but usually after at least 1 hour of playing I get these super weird slowdowns, as if the system would freeze except they last only 2-3 seconds, all cores go to 100% utilization and then go back to normal. So I finally upgraded my good ol' 3900X and everything seemed fine at first, all much smoother etc., good temps, decent benchmark scores, both in stock and with PBO on (tried auto and -25, no crashes, no blue screens).
